1. Comprehensive assessment

The initial assessment is an evaluation of individual abilities and includes a neurovisual screening, the identification of areas of weakness and the production of a neurostimulation baseline thanks to the determination of individual values. This assessment provides a profiling of skills and leads on to the development of a patient-specific neurostimulation training program.

2. Brain training protocol

1 hour / session

During the 1 hour sessions, Neurovision S&P uses cutting edge technology to train the brain thanks to visual stimulations (neurostimulation).
This technique enables our athletes to optimize their perceptual skills and to improve their brain and cognitive capacities. It leads to heightened anticipation and powers of reasoning and it also speeds up the processing of information by the brain. This generates faster decision-making, better stamina and enhances a person’s lucidity when experiencing both stress and fatigue.

Visual acuity testing is not enough to analyze the quality of the visual input. Many of your athletes have “got used” to seeing badly or making considerable effort to compensate for their imperfect or unbalanced vision.

Thanks to our neurovisual check-up on your site, we assess the main individual areas of weakness of your athletes and we go on to design in collaboration with your medical staff specifically adapted cares to foster the quest for optimal team performance.

Some of the data collected can also help your team doctors evaluate a suspected or actual brain concussion after an impact involving an athlete during play or training, and to thereby improve post-concussion protocol.

Athlete - Q & A

The neurovisual comprehensive assessment lasts 2 hours. Every neurostimulation training session lasts 1 hour.

The assessment and the training sessions are done at the Neurovision Sport & Performance clinic in Lyon.

Athletes we have worked with tell us that they begin to feel an improvement in their symptoms between the 1st and the 5th session.

We recommend that athletes follow a training program with 10 to 15 sessions to achieve a significant improvement of their performance with regular profiling of their abilities.

We recommend 1 or 2 sessions a week for athletes who don’t live too far away from our clinic in Lyon.

We offer “intensive” training protocols over 3, 4 or 5 days including 3 sessions a day. We can provide accommodation facilities with partner hotels nearby.

Like in every training, we recommend that athletes do a few sessions every 3 months to maintain their level, in particular for response time. However, the brain will retain the benefit of strategies for years without any specific training, particularly visual exploratory strategy and the ability to receive information.
After a training protocol focused on cognitive stamina (20 sessions or more), we recommend a few sessions every 2 months to maintain the benefits.

Brain activation on site - Q & A

We are totally available for our athletes throughout the day or over several days (for pre-activation, activation, practice periods, qualifications and matches or races) and also during intensive sports events (e.g. 24-hour races).

The optimal activation can (sometimes) combine a pre-activation phase a few hours before the event and an activation phase within the 30 minutes prior to the event, ideally 20 minutes before.
The activation phase lasts between 10 and 12 minutes.

Clubs / Sports teams - Q & A

The screening assessment on site lasts between 30 to 40 minutes for each athlete.

We need a room with a minimum length of 5 meters, along with 2 tables and 2 chairs.

We can assess between 8 and 10 athletes a day.

Clubs and sports team often request screening tests for all their athletes once a year.
The screening assessment of new players is crucial to provide information and help in case of perceptual areas of weakness. It is also possible, and indeed useful, to follow the evolution of all the players who were already tested the previous season, to check the efficiency of their recommended training protocols and to review and adjust their assessments where necessary for performance or pre-concussion purposes.
